I like going for a  walk on Orchard Road after my weekly Chinese class-meeting. This is ION Orchard shopping mall.

Normalmente me doy un paseo por Orchard Road despues de mi "clase" de chino. Esta es la fachada del centro comercial ION Orchard

There are many weird statues in Haw Par Villa, but I still don't understand why there is a copy of the Statue of Liberty. Since this statue is one of the American symbols, I think it is a good choice for today's picture. Happy 4th of July!!

De todas las estatuas raras que hay en Haw Par Villa, creo que esta es la que menos entiendo. Pero como la Estatua de la Libertad es uno de los simbolos de Estados Unidos, he pensado que seria una buena opcion para la foto de hoy. Feliz 4 de julio!!

This is Happy (he deserves the name!), a dog from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), the animal shelter where I volunteer. They also have cats, rabbits and hamsters. I go once a week, since it takes me a while to get there, and also because I have to be there at 8am! But I like it. 

Este es Happy, un perro de la protectora de animales donde voy como voluntaria. Tambien tienen conejos, gatos y hamsters. Voy una vez a la semana, porque tardo mas de 40 minutos en llegar, y porque tengo que estar alli a las 8 de la mañana!

This is the roof of the Esplanade building. Doesn't it look like many Toblerone bars? I think I want one now....
The building contains a Concert hall, a Theater, a library, and of course, a mall.

Es parte de la cupula del edificio Esplanade. Depende de como lo mires parecen toblerones, verdad?
Dentro hay una sala de conciertos, un teatro, una biblioteca, y por supuesto, un centro comercial

Probablemente el Marina Bay Sands es el edificio mas conocido de Singapore.  En la terraza tiene una piscina, aunque creo que tienes que estar en el hotel para poder bañarte :(

Marina Bay Sands is probably the most famous building of Singapore. There is a swimming pool  in the terrace, but I was told it is only for hotel guests :(
