day 267

The Spanish group meeting is now in Chinatown. I've been in that neighborhood more in the last month than in the last whole year. But I like it, and there is always some pictures to take, even while waiting to cross the street.

day 264

I have a class on Wednesdays morning in Chinatown, so I brought the fish-eye to try it there. For this picture, I was almost touching these hanging decoration items.
Wait to see the Sunday photo...

day 254

I finally went to Chinatown at night. I wanted to take some picture of a parade, but it wasn't what I had in mind, so I just went for a walk and took some other pictures, like this one. I'll have to return, since some streets were closed and I couldn't take a few pictures I wanted to.

One more horse, hehe!! At least from another perspective :) And I didn't go at night yet, but still have 3 more weeks of CNY decorations.

day 240

Chinatown was so crowded when we went on Sunday before CNY! The Festive Street Bazaar was probably one of the reasons. It was full of traditional new year's groceries; and apparently, different colors of pumpkin seeds is one of them.

day 234

Chinese New Year is coming and Chinatown is ready to celebrate. No need to say what year is coming right? There is a herd of horses along the main road of the neighborhood. It probably has lights at night, so I'll try to.

Some decoration at the Buddhist temple.

day 127

Buddhist monks during some practice at the Chinatown's temple. I don't know what kind of celebration and how it called :(....

day 125

I had to go to the Nikon service to get my camera clean, and I started walking and ended in Chinatown. Something I like of Singapore is the mix of cultures. This is a Hindu temple with some Mid-Autumn decoration (since it is in Chinatown). Pretty close in the same street there is also a mosque and, of course, a Buddhist temple.

day 114

Some times just a paper on the floor gets your attention. It was funny because people looked at us trying to figure out what were we taking a picture of.

day 112

6 years, time flies! To celebrate it, we went for a photography outing :)
This is at Chinatown. They are now celebrating the Mid-autumn Festival, and it is decorated with a lot of lights.

It had to be this song today:
Imagine- John Lennon

day 83

I find all these Chinese ornaments very interesting. I thought they were only used in festivities, but I've been seeing them all year-round, not only in Chinatown, but also in many houses. Anybody knows their meaning?
