Alcazar

During the Corpus-Christi outing, I also took some other pictures of the town. I've been taking so many pictures in Singapore and other cities I've visited lately, that I decided to do the same in mine, and I enjoyed it very much. I found many interesting details I hadn't paid attention before.

Cuando salimos a hacer fotos del Corpus Christi, aproveche para hacer tambien fotos del pueblo. He estado haciendo tantas fotos de Singapur y otras ciudades que he visitado ultimamente, que decidi hacer lo mismo en mi pueblo, y fue muy interesante. Encontre muchos detalles a los que no habia prestado atencion hasta entonces.

Cervantes was official born near Madrid, but as this plaque says, he was born in my hometown, and as good "alcazareña" I like to believe that.
Oficialmente Cervantes nacio en un pueblo de Madrid, pero segun esta placa nacio en mi pueblo, y como buena alcazareña me gusta creer que fue asi.

I returned to the spiral staircase in Bugis, and this time they were again colorful. So yes, the first time I went they were being remodeled. I will have to return, though, because I want take again a picture with the 7-8 of them, since I don't like the ones I took.
It's a pity these spiral staircase are son hiden and in a not-very-pretty street.

Efectivamente, cuando fui la primera vez a las escaleras de caracol de Bugis las estaban remodelando, porque esta vez si que estaban pintadas de colores. De todas formas tengo que volver, porque quiero hacer una de las 7 o 8 que hay en la misma foto, porque que las que hice no me convencen.
Es una pena que estas escaleras tan chulas esten tan escondidas y en una calle no muy bonita.

I didn't see this reflection on my first walk to Telok Ayer, so I went again since it is so close to the place where I have my meditation sessions on Wednesdays.

Most of the buildings in Singapore (except modern style ones) have this kind of roof. It took my many tries, but I finally took a pictures of them that I like.

La mayoria de los edificios en Singapur (excepto los modernos, claro) tienen este tipo de tejado. He tardado, pero por fin he hecho una foto de ellos que me gusta.

Kimonos are beautiful! If I ever return to Japan, I will at least rent one and wear it for a day. I though about buying one, but they are so expensive! and I'm not sure when I could wear it anyway.

I had a Chinese-Spanish meeting near my place, so I walked there and took some pictures on my way. I had tried a picture with this barbed wire on a previous walk, but I like this background better.

Como habia quedado para un tandem español-chino cerca de mi casa, me fui dando una paseo y aproveche para hacer fotos. Ya habia hecho alguna foto con este reja, pero me gusta mas con este fondo.

I saw a picture on a Singaporean website and after some research found out it was taken from this point. I had already tried to take the picture with my regular lens, but didn't work, so I returned with the fish-eye lens. I think the picture I saw wasn't taken with a fish-eye either, but I like the one I got.

Encontre una foto en una web de Singure, y despues de buscar un poco, encontre el sitio desde el que se habia hecho. Ya habia intentado hacerla con mi objetivo, pero no salio como esperaba, asi que he vuelto con el objetivo ojo-de-pez. No creo que la foto que yo hice se hiciera tampoco con ese tipo de objetivo, pero igualmente me gusta como me ha quedado

I went for a walk to Outram Park before my yoga class.
I liked the one on the top because it has the 3 windows open and the Chinese characters; and the second one because it is the baha'i centre and reminded me of a good friend of mine. Since I couldn't decide (it happens pretty offen), I showed them to Fulvio, and he suggested to put them this way, so problem solved!

Antes de mi clase de yoga me fui a dar una vuelta por Outram Park.
La foto de arriba me gustaba porque tiene las 3 ventanas abiertas y los caracteres chinos; y la de abajo porque es de centro Baha'i, y me recordaba a una buena amiga. Como no era capaz de decidirme (algo que pasa a menudo), le enseñe las fotos a Fulvio, y me sugirio ponerlas asi. Problema resuelto!

I had seen a picture of this fountain many times, but had no idea of where it was and how it had be done. So when I found it, I went and tried with the fish eye lens. This picture is not exactly the one I saw, since I could not go to the point it was taken.

Habia visto fotos de esta fuente, pero no sabia ni donde estaba ni como la habian hecho. asi que cuando finalmente la encontre, pense en ir y probar con el objetivo ojo de pez. Esta no es exactamente la foto que yo habia visto, pero no podia if al sitio desde el que probablemente la habian hecho.
