Alcazar

During the Corpus-Christi outing, I also took some other pictures of the town. I've been taking so many pictures in Singapore and other cities I've visited lately, that I decided to do the same in mine, and I enjoyed it very much. I found many interesting details I hadn't paid attention before.

Cuando salimos a hacer fotos del Corpus Christi, aproveche para hacer tambien fotos del pueblo. He estado haciendo tantas fotos de Singapur y otras ciudades que he visitado ultimamente, que decidi hacer lo mismo en mi pueblo, y fue muy interesante. Encontre muchos detalles a los que no habia prestado atencion hasta entonces.

Of course, some pictures of Don Quixote from different perspectives. For the second one I copied my father's idea, hehe, but I like it very much.
Por supuesto, fotos de Don Quijote desde diferentes perspectivas. La segunda fue idea de mi padre, jeje, pero me gusta mucho como queda.

Cervantes was official born near Madrid, but as this plaque says, he was born in my hometown, and as good "alcazareña" I like to believe that.
Oficialmente Cervantes nacio en un pueblo de Madrid, pero segun esta placa nacio en mi pueblo, y como buena alcazareña me gusta creer que fue asi.

Corpus Christi Festival

I'm really slow in organizing and choosing photos...
Anyway, during my visit to Spain, my father and I went for an outing to take photos of the Corpus Christi, a catholic festival, when many streets are decorated for the night procession.

Que lenta soy organizando y eligiendo fotos...
En cualquier caso, cuando estuve en España en junio, mi padre y yo salimos a hacer fotos del Corpus, ya que muchas calles estan decoradas para la procesion de por la noche.
 
In this neighborhood, they made a great mosaic with painted wood-shavings.
En este barrio hicieron un bonito mosaico con virutas de madera pintada.

Balconies get decorated with shawls, like this beautiful traditional-style house.
Tambien se decoran los balcones, como los de esta bonita casa manchega. 
 

 

Some nuns were also decorating the street in front of their convent. 

Las monjas tanbien estaban decorando la calle de su convento.

And some other pictures focused more in details I found interesting during our walk.

Echo and Shira

I can't believe I hadn't posted any picture of my dogs yet!!! Anyone who knows me has hear about them (too much in some cases, sorry!)

No puedo creerme que no haya puesto aun ninguna foto de mis perras!! Cualquiera que me conozca habra oido hablar de ella (mucho en algunos casos, lo siento!)

This is Echo, and I got her 4 years ago as a present from my parents! She was born the day before my birthday, and since I was a bit "desperate" about having a new pet, they thought it would be a perfect gift, and it was!

Esta es mi perrita Echo, fue el regalo de mis padres para mi cumpleaños hace 4 años!! Nacio el dia anterior, y como yo estaba un poco" desesperada" por tener un perro, decidieron que era el regalo perfecto, y acertaron!

And this is Shira. She is my sister's dog and my dog's sister :) I know, they don't look like siblings, but they are from the same litter. When my sister found out about my gift, we decided she would get one of the others puppies for her coming birthday.

Y esta es Shira. Es la perra de mi hermana, y la hermana de mi perra :) Lo se, no se parecen mucho, pero son de la misma camada. Cuando mi hermana se entero del regalo, decidimos coger otro de los cachorros para su cumple tambien. 

They are mix-dogs and we got them from a neighbor whose dog got accidentally pregnant. They are both now living with my sister, but spend some time with their grandparents too, hehe!

Son chuchillas,  nos las dio un vecino cuya perra se habia quedado accidentalmente embarazada. Ahora estan las dos viviendo con mi hermana, aunque tambien pasan mucho tiempo con los abuelos, jeje!

I took the pictures during my visit to Spain this summer, when I spent lots of time with them. I had just bath them, so they were more excited about playing than usual. So fun!

Las fotos las hice cuando estuve este verano en España, y evidentemente pase mucho tiempo con ellas. Aqui las acababa de bañar, y se pusieron a jugar como locas. Son tan graciosas!
